Awarded Applicants
Under the $28.7 million federal Charter Schools Program grant, Maryland Momentum has pledged to add no less than 4,200 new, high-quality charter school seats over the next five years across Maryland. Subgrantee schools will be selected through a rigorous third-party review process. Awarded applicants will be evaluated on a number of criteria, including project design, leadership, governance, sustainable financial practices, community and family engagement, demonstrable market demand, and an innovative and effective educational model.

Notice of Corrective Action Plans
If any subgrantees experience potential delays in their opening, fall behind on subgrant drawdowns, or face the risk of subgrant revocation, MAPCS will place the subgrantee on a corrective action plan and may provide targeted technical assistance. MAPCS will promptly communicate this information to the authorizer and post a listing on our website, which will be updated quarterly. The Corrective Action Plan summary document can be found here.
